All applicants should apply online at the AEF Online Scholarship Application website.
Paper Application
If you cannot apply online use the instructions for submitting a paper application.
Scholarship Deadlines
Applicants must apply prior to deadlines listed below.
- December 1
- March 1
- May 1
- June 1
- August 1
Important: No exceptions will be made for late applications. Incomplete first time and renewal application packets will not be processed.

Paper Application
First Time Applicants or Applying after a 2+ year break
First time applicants and students who have not applied in 2 or more years must complete the seven steps outlined below.
- Complete the AEF Determination of Eligibility form
- Complete the AEF Scholarship Application
- Submit a copy of your Acceptance Letter or Certificate of Admission from an accredited college or training institution
- Submit the Need Sheet/Budget forecast to your school's financial aid office
- Submit your High School or latest school transcript
- Submit three letters of recommendation
- Complete the Personal Information form
Renewal (Continuing) Students
Renewal Students must do the following:
- Complete the AEF Scholarship Application
- Submit the Need Sheet/Budget forecast to your school's financial aid office
- Submit your complete transcript
Additional Paperwork
Full Time students attending school away from home and living off-campus please submit a copy of current lease agreement.
